500 Internal Server Error

Dear Forum,

I´ve installed today the phpLD2. If I try to access the directory via browser I get the error "500 internal server error" I set the chmod correct to the 3 folders and 1 data....but there is one bug.

Does anybody can help me

Apache or IIS? WHat version?
What version of php and mysql?

MySQL-Version 4.0.12
PHP-Version with following attitudes
*.php = PHP4.4.1
*.php3 = PHP 3
*.php4 = PHP4.4.1
*.php5 = PHP 5.1.1

My provider works with Apache. But I don´t know the version. Does it help to give me further instructions?

We need to know what is the error message is. Do you have access to your server error logs? If so, what do you see as the logged error message? If not, ask your web host. Or, try calling index.php from command line (SSH):

php index.php

...and see what error message is kicked out

BTW, may be problem with .htaccess file in phpLD directory. Try renaming (if it exists) as .htaccess_bak to see if you still get error.

okay, it worked :lol: but now I have the welcome screen with following errors:

ServerAPI = ccgi mode is likely to have problems
MSSQL Support = not available
MySQL Support = not available

Do you have any recommedation for me?

Yes, get a host that support MySQL :)

We don't currently support flat file databases since so many host have MySQL.

If you need further assistance, feel free to yell.

hello you answered on my thread in the forum. What can I do now with linkdirectory on my server. Do I have not the possibilite to install the script?

I don´t understand. This is very strange. This morning I have finished the installation. I had three errors, but the directory looks at the moment fine :o)

I believe mysql server was down in that time. But we will never know what it was.
