Is there are way to integrate PHP LD with Drupal?

In times when Google degrading the PR of directories it is time to start working to increasing the quality of directories and add content.

Is some one has some examples of site that use Drupal and PHP LD on the same site and could post it that would be great.

How would you see this integration working?

What I was thinking is where directory could be like a module and/or block in drupal. For example if I was going to use <iframe> and could place PHP LD in the center of drupal page with left and right bars, with footer, header, and all the other sections that drupal offers depending on the template. If I use <iframes> it would not be very SEO friendly. I am sure if I know PHP i could of figured it out. Drupal is great CMS and very SEO friendly. I know joomla has some kind of directory add-on but it is very limited compared to PHP LD.

The whole point is it is much easier and faster to modify pages in drupal vs having to change and/or create each page in PHP LD.

The code for creating page in phpld is on the forum and it is quite easy, I created a new page in around 9 minutes and I am no pro. One way you can add content is through the built in articles in 3.2 and above.

Content visible to registered users only.

Thats good to know I was wondering what were the main differences between 3.1 and 3.2. Adding articles should definitely help. Now I will take a look at upgrading 3.1 phpld to 3.2.

Yes, articles are a great way to add content. I can't give away everything quite yet, but there is a lot more coming with regard to content in future releases, so we are already thinking is the same way. :)

I know this is an old post, but I think having a solution to integrate phpld to drupal is valuable. There are post on drupal needing directory modules. I've only found one that said they integrated phpld with drupal but I don't know how.

http://drupal.org/node/81658

The good thing about drupal is that it can handle a community site while phpld handles the directory part of it. Even if it's just having some calls to the latest or most popular listing to used in blocks in drupal would be helpful enough. Drupal does allow php snippets in the content if needed.

Content visible to registered users only.

When say integrate, it is easy to match the look and feel through design. More complex issues would be integrating user login or admin login. I'm sure these things could be done with the help of a good programmer. It would probably take several hours.

Content visible to registered users only.

Since we release phpLD 3.3, we even have a new pages features, so you can add articles or pages.

I'll only be using phpLD for link exchange for myself, so I'm not bothered about logging into phpLD with drupal account or with phpLD account. I just require the look and feel of my drupal template. But the problem is that in my drupal website; links and information in navigation menus & footers are generally updated on a daily basis so I require to integrate phpLD in drupal in such a way that those things that are being updated at navigtation menus & footers also gets updated in all pages of phpld?

How can this be done, as you said it is easy to match the look and feel through design?
