Here is how mine are set up for bloggeries.com. You are welcome to copy them, and just change them to suit your site. I am sure others have done them better than these, but these work for me.

Thank you, these helped me very much. I happened to notice there is a misspelling of the word "receive" in the link pending template.A minor detail.

Thank you for your generosity and phpLD is a GREAT script!

I don't mean what you think or whatever.
Its because I have tried these templates (the ones given in the admin panel) and they don't really work because Im not really sure where to put it or something. Well those work now, you seem to not really like me after that submitdotcom directory support. =|

I have spent a bit of time submitting to quite a few directories over the last few days, and although I think it is great that people are using these templates as a guide, please remember to do one thing.

REMOVE the Bloggeries signature from your email templates. Haha

I know a lot of people are copy and pasting, but after you do that, edit the text and "Make it your own" .

I realized that many directories using this templates still send something like
"your site has been accepted into Bloggeries Link Directory."

Please change that!

Thanks for the useful templates.

I have a little problem.
I can receive the test emailer I sent except that the "From" email address is blank and is labelled "Nobody" and goes into Yahoo spam folder.
Does it have something to do with the setting for the emailer?
Present emailer setting is:
Emailer Method: php mail function
Email server: localhost
SMTP user: [blank]
SMTP Password : [blank]
Sendmail path :/usr/bin/sendmail

Would appreciate your advice for a newbie like me.
Thanks :)

Noob here, just a simple question. After you approve links is an email sent to link owner at link submittal and then after link approval? I have modofied templates to Bloggeries suggestions with my own name inserted in key areas.

Is there anything I need to change on email editting area

Ver2 here.

Thanks in advance.

If anybody would like a quick start without any customization I've edited the templates (basically substituted "Blog site" to YOURSITE variable) so they should work for any web site. Just cut and paste.

One question, when an email is sent it all on one line theres no line breaks. If I use HTML would it fix it?

shadav
05-19-2007, 01:18 PM
yes, with html you can use the <br /> or<p> to make new lines for your email templates
to do that check out this thread
http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2297

now if you are talking about the subject, message and everything else is all on one line please check out this thread the last post
http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9543
note the code posted came from v2.1.1 but basically just add a <br> in front of the \n on all lines :)

Hi all,

I've set up my email templates OK, but having a problem with the format when they go out.

They're going out as one paragraph, not in separate lines and paragraphs as I entered them.

Does anybody know how to fix that one? (V2.1.2)

Cheers,

Michael
