Hi there, this is a question relating to mods and contributing to getting them done. I have been contributing to both the PHPLinksDirectory and some of the ones who do the mods, the problem I see though is that mods I contribute to, (not pennies), end up on this site anyway and with no reference to the fact someone had to pay for that mod to be made, or at least towards its making. Shouldn't we have some kind of central fund which is managed by David where he can distribute funding to scriptwriters as and when needed? Also we will be certain that mods get written and tested by David and his team for the latest versions and can be vouched for. Paying independantly for mods has proven a bad and costly experience for me and I for one think that it is becoming a bit like a cattle market here where anybody who wants can charge what they want for mods and from posts on open forum this seems to be causing dissent.
What does everyone else think? Pay anyone or donate to the site for it to be managed fairly? It might also be an idea to show a table of contributers so that recognition goes to those who deserve it? Just an added thought, this method is used on loads of other sites I believe and encourages others to contribute.
Thanks.
Kevin
