Regarding add a new category

Hi,
I am new in phpld. i have installed the phpLD3.2 and installed a new template name is greenshade template and we have done some design modifaction related from our site. when we add a new category through admin panel the category is added but in the front page the cateogory name and some other values is also displayed which is not required at the index page.can anyone help me to solve this problem.its very urgent.
