I activated payments but I dont see anything on the page that displays a link to purchase. Did I not activate properly?

Add a new photo, you will see there is one filed to set the price for photo. After activate new photo visit that photo page, you will see Add to cart and buy link there :)

So to make it work on older photos I have to edit each one? also I do mass imports of 100-200 pictures at a time, does it give me that option on mass import?

hmm does the sp title mean Super Pimp? or am i right in assuming it means supporter?

Actually when someone clicks the link to purchase a photo it takes them to a page that says " please log in to paypal sandbox developers corner"

Have you entered your paypal email in your profile in admin?
If you are finding the answer, please send me some ftp and admin access and we'll be sure and get this working correctly for you.

look at the paypal.tpl


make sure that the url for paypal doesnt have

www.sandbox (http://www.sandbox) in it

if it does remove the sandbox
