My hosting account for my directory has been suspended... message below.

"Account has been suspended for its high mysql usage in the server. Since a single account is eating up a lot of server resource, we have suspended that account. Please make the necessary changes in the codes and re-upload the files to optimize the mysql usage.

The server in which this domain is hosted on is a shared server. Hence we cannot allow as much resource for a single domain. "

What can I do to fix this? I've been running this for the last 8 months with the same traffic.

How much traffice?
We can try to cache it for you to reduce the queries ........

No mods, I don't have the traffic number since the account and control panel are done. I've only been averaging 75 submits a day. I'm trying to get them to give me access back to the control panel.

apthost.com is an excellent host...and fairly cheap...they are always around for support... any host that dumps you without working with you to solve the problem is not worth keeping around....a legit host could have told you exactly what your problem is, and how to resolve the issue, I would send them an email and say tough, ill find someone that does want my business and willing to work with me...

Update from my host "We are checking the issue. We will update you soon."

Make sure that you are not under DDOS attack :)

Yeppers, this happened to me as well. The host I was on could not handle it, I moved hosts and all of the problems went away, I'm still under attack by the way, I contacted the new host and they said that is was insignificant ;) but I'm still working to get the attacking domains shut down.

This has never come up with my own personal directories. What Dawzz is saying about setting up the cacheing of queries has worked for many people. Usually it is needed for one of these reasons:
1. A mod that produces many pages, and the a search engine goes crazy spidering all those pages
2. A mod that adds a lot of load to each page
3. A site that has an above average number of categories and a spider hits it hard

In all of the above, adding the cacheing has solved the problem in every case that we know of.
