Use mcdar.net google datacenter quick check tool to see how you are doing. :)
This site is up to a 6 (was hoping for 7, but I'll take 6) :)
Understand that it is not on all dataceners, so you have to use the tool to see.

I have two sites showing PR 0 -> PR5 One of them is a phpLD!! at bloggeries.com The other is my blog {old link removed}, which I do not understand how it could go PR5, since I only started it a couple months ago, and have not promoted it.

Yep, you have 2 PR 5s now! :D
Maybe it is that great script you are running...what you call it? ....

Looking through the sites listed in the wiki, there are lots of 4s and 5s and even a few 6s. :)

Well David, once the update has ended, you should gather some info on those that have phpLD, and use it as a selling point.

Definitely changes, but not accross all datacenter, and most webmaster forums are going wild.
go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
open the host file in notepad
add 216.239.57.105 toolbarqueries.google.com
save
close and open IE and you will see the new toolbar pageranks

Well done David, nothing like success  I decided to get really into this pagerank thing as I think people who are new to it all get worried with the term Page Rank. I've been reliably informed that the following link provides one of the better and more accurate PageRank searches. It appears it only matter what database your site gets pulled from when someone wants to see the Page Rank a site has!

IMHO I think that as sites grow and keep their sitemap up to date then Google will always update its PR rating for a site, equally it will drop it if necessary. The key to this whole thing is not to be over bothered as I've looked at my own search logs and even though I have very poor page ranking I am actually getting massive levels of traffic! I would love to have a high page rank so I suppose saying that PageRank is only for egos would be hypocritical of me  I'll play it by ear and hope that my traffic grows even if my PR doesn't

Yes, that looks like a good tool.
Maybe later we can develop a tool that sync with our script through the desktop, and allows us to keep a pagerank history. I don't know of anyone that is doing that now.

Get lots of links back to your site would be a good start.
