Hi. I've looked through the forum and have seen some things about allowing people to submit to multiple categories. Only, I can't find out how you do this. Is there somewhere in the admin area that you have to enable this?

yes, you can enable this feature by going to link submit under edit settings. just Allow multiple submit to yes .

Yes, I have done that but nothing seems to happen. On the Submit page I was expecting to be able to see something like use CTRL + click on the categories you want to submit to. All I get is the same dropdown box, which only allows me to choose 1 category.

opss, i didn't mention that you have to do the same process if you want to submit your site to every category you want. :D

I'm sorry, but I don't follow you. Do you mean that you have to re-submit the link? ie. submit to Business, then go back to add it to Business - Financial Services? I thought submit to Multiple Categories meant that you can select several categories in 1 go.

Yes, in Admin, Allow Multiple Categories is used so that a domain can be placed in multiple categories. Otherwise, it cannot. Some people have had problems with spammers submitting to many categories, or repeatedly submitting when they are already listed once. This may not be what you want, but I just wanted to explain this function.

Yes, I understand that and have done that. HOW does someone add a domain to multiple categories?? Is this a bug, as when I go to the frontend of the site and try to add a domain it only allows me to add it to one category.

The current database structure assigns one category id per link id.
Are you saying you are beign prevented from adding another link from the same domain, or just that you want the functionality to submit to multiple at one time?

In admin, you can go to
System >> Edit Settings >> Link Submit >> Allow multiple submit
and turn this on or off

If you need to allow multiple submit at the same time, we would need to consider how to do this from a programming standpoint. Very possible, but would need to be added to our list. ;)

Yes, I want to allow multiple submits at the same time. Thanks for answering that for me. I hope it will be possible to code this for future releases.

Content visible to registered users only.

Yes, it will be possible, but we will have to implement it in a way where it is optional, because some people will not want to offer this. I've already thought of a method where we can just create multiple links, but from the same site, in the database.

Do you have a directory that has this function right now?

A great way to help make sure this happens is to sign up for 3.0 and the Supporters Forum, and work together with us to see this happen.

Yes, I was using a Joomla component - mosDirectory - that allows this. But my Joomla installation went really mental and screwed everything up! I switched to your script because I really like the PayPal feature. It makes it so much easier to take payments now.

I may get 3.0.
