Hi David, I was just about to post this mod on this blog, But I think we have a slight problem here.
I see the video displayed in the categories (Directory- snooker (http://www.sportindexer.com/sports/cue-sports/snooker/)) & when I click on the video thumbnail then I am taken to {bad link removed} fixed

I think that this is some re-direct issue. Please let me know.

Very easy to install and working fine. This is a great mod except have to make some alignment to the video info description, not a probelm though. I like it very much because it adds video contents to each cat related to it's cat name.

Its working well but how where do put the css code to make it the vids display horizontally, does this go in main.css ?

I have a problem with the install

I have the youtube content showing, but when I click on any of the links the do not resolve in the browser.

Could you tell me what I have done wrong.

In your admin under site settings add the / to the end of the domain name.

I install exactly to the instructions and I copy and paste the yt part from the example into my top_bar.tpl as instructed then I get

What have I done wrong?

hehehe that's ok i had a duh moment too ;)

i kept getting the error amit was getting, but that's cuz i'm using rewrite :D and well....didn't add the bit to the .htaccess file that i needed :D

add what? It is all in there. Did you read the text files?

in the readme.txt nowhere does it mention anything about the .htaccess :P :D
however, in the update.txt it does.....and well me when i saw update...i thought it ment if i were updating the mod from a later version....

The update is the form that the modder started so when i added my changes to it I followed along ;)

I love this! I just installed my latest directory, and this mod. Now I'll have to update my other one :-)

I had to play around with the formatting and the number of videos to fit it into this template, as it didn't work in top.bar, but it's fantastic. Ah, suplerlatives :-)

All the video links seem to show as they should but if you attempt to follow the links you get the Error: This page it is not active message on the new page.....what have I done wrong? I also followed vitalgirls link and her video works but the page under the video is jumbled with a garbled mess of text...

Make sure you have made the htaccess edit

Hi,.. I'm trying to install this on my test site and in your ReadMe.txt file the directions say...

Now,... Is this a either or type of insert? Do you insert either {yt category=$path} or {yt category=$path count=5} and if so,... Where do you insert it at?

I'm very sorry if this sounds like a Newbie questions because, Well,.. I'm a Newbie.

I've tried inserting it in several places in to the "top_bar.tpl" file with no luck. I'm not trying to tell you how to write your ReadMe file but i think if you added something like "Find THIS SET OF WORDS OR CODE and Insert It Before Or After It" would make the install for us Newbies much easier I think.

What is the differences between the two stings of code Content visible to registered users only. and Content visible to registered users only.

I got the code figured out.
I didnt see the top_bar_example.tpl page. Doh.

I decided to go with this code:
Content visible to registered users only.

But now i can't figure out how to get everything centered horizontaly.
Some of the titles of the videos are also screwing up the way those get displayed.

Also,... The videos are only being displayed on the new Categories that I create. They don't get displayed on the Categories that were already present. How do i solve that?

How do I get the script to configure the width of the "related videos" thumbnails on the "show" page. Even though I have changed them from showing 5 to 3 thumbs... the table is running off the page to the right.


Any help would be appreciated.

Also, is there any kind of quick band-aid for the 2nd video link not working issue?
