URL Title

Hello, and sorry for the prob dumb question.

I just installed the directory but I found the first problem creating a category: URL Title. Now, what's that exactly?

Look at this URL Title, the URL Title of this page is URL Title (got it?)

URL Title - This is a manual insertion of the url path for that category title.
Phpld does this automatically if you leave it blank and will create the url path from the title.

If however you want the url path name to be slightly different from the category title name then you may use that field to insert it manually.


So if you have category title Legal, URL Title left blank will automatically produce

yourdomain/directory/legal

If you insert manully into URL title: legal jobs

then you will get:

yourdomain/directory/legal_jobs

It dosen't matter, both urls point to the same page when category Legal is clicked.

Why change the URL then?

/legal-jobs may help get better SEO and adsense targeted results then just having /legal
