I dont recall seeing anyone do this. I have seen a couple of sites that offered a blog AND a directory, but integrated.

AHhh, All I did was install the directory to the root of the site, then install the blog at 1 level deep. So the directory is www.bloggeries.com and the blog is www.bloggeries.com/blog

if you need help, just let me know.

This method does work as I did exactly the same. Root level for the php is excellent as sub folders can be used for anything from blogs, to forums scripts like this. The ability to create sub folders is great!

I have www.domain.com/directory/

and the blog is installed in the root. Is it possible through the power of smarty to display my categories on index page of root?

I've got the template I use with phpld working with wordpress so if it can be done to that degree it can certainly be expanded on.

I saw how you did that - want to do that myself - that was pretty cool.

Is there anyway to add the ability to have wordpress comments on the detail page (Read More). The comments would allow users to "review" the link. :)
Thanks.

Hi there mate, sorry for not responding, don't have much time on here as I'd like. I have a Superman of a programmer who for a small fee would do it for you I'm sure. If you passed over your particular template we could see what could be done  All procedes go to the pocket of the developer of my mods and extras. Orange Pages Ltd nor myself make a single buck out of this but do get a warm fuzzy feeling for being so nice.

Kev

P.S. You can use my skin if you wanted but only if you kept the backlink, that's the least I would ask.

I put in the hours myself and made a blog. Not an exact replica of the format
but reasonably close.

I'm also thinking of adding an image gallery, but have yet to select a good one and not sure whether I will or won't.

qdig seems quite simple, but I want them to be able to submit their own images. I have an image gallery site at http://ourweddingphotos.budpix.net but this is mainly for sharing photos between friends and family.

Anyway. Thanks for your great offer. I'll keep on experimenting.
