Welcome to the PHP Link Directory Forums

Here are the guidelines to posting a support question.

Do a search to verify your problem hasn't already been addressed by a previous user.

state your phpld VERSION if you need to make a thread.

Please no thread hijacking. If you're having the same issue as another user, still create a seperate thread so we can address you and your issue as an individual. We're a friendly group and are very willing to help get you up and running as quickly as possible.

Choose a descriptive Subject, some of us have different strong points and this will allow to weed out the ones we know we can help quickly.

In your post list the PHP Link Directory version you're using.

PHP Link Directory staff may ask for your FTP details so we can modify the scripts, we take precautions not to "destroy" anything and even backup any files we may change incase of an issue. We've been doing this for a long time and it's not suggested to give away this information to just anyone on the forums.

We may ask for a link to PHP Info, if so create a file named "phpinfo.php" on your server with the following code inside.
Content visible to registered users only. This allows us to see some details that may help with your issue.

FAQ
Q: How do I ad Adsense to the templates?
A: If you're wanting it global in the header.tpl or footer.tpl you can find the info in this thread. It's taking into consideration that Adsense isn't allowed on search result pages and thus wont be shown there.

This will more than likely be expanded with time and as we grow.

Thank you for choosing PHP Link Directory.

Just because I thought this should be at the top of the list with this sticky..
If you are getting this error for the admin:
Content visible to registered users only.

And an error with 'too many redirects' when you try to load the directory main page.
..and your SQL database doesn't seem to be installing..
Go through the installation process with IE and NOT with Firefox. Worked for most here from what I have seen.

I think it would be nice to highlight the Faq thread.. with a very large and bold mark that there is a serach-function in this forum...

The forum link gives an error (404).

Although not discussing WHERE to place AdSense code, I did find this one helpful on HOW to do it:http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/kb/How_to_Add_Adsense.html

We have a problem and we are not sure what to do about it I have clicked the YES option for Allow Multiple Submit - but yet we keep getting a "Domain already exists in the selected category." I would appreciate any help any one can provide.

multiple submit is for the smae url to different category. If you are selecting different category and getting this error let me know. what are you trying to add? Last time i ran into this someone was adding
to the same category.
We can adjust it for you just need to be sure what we are adjusting.

Here's my question:

How do you add a template to version 2.1? It's the first version I'm using. I've searched the forum and can't find instructions to add a template to any version earlier than 3.06.

you simply overwrite the existing files....version 2 you can only have 1 template at a time installed, unlike version 3 where you can install several and then easily switch between them...
