Ok well I want to edit the script so that I can put a new banner and make it look the way that I want it. How can I edit it?

In your templates folder, look for the template you are using, enter the folder.

header.tpl is the top, top_bar (usually) contains the submit bar (submit, latest links, top hits, etc), main.tpl contains the category structure and search results structure, etc, footer.tpl speaks for itself. You may optionally have sidebar templates as well if you are using a template with multiple columns.
