Links too long

Hi peeps

I'm sure this has been asked before, but after a couple of searches I can't find the answer.

Is there a way to shorten (parse?) links that show in the directory listings? I have some loooooong links (affiliate) that are displaying out of the central container.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Do something like:-
Content visible to registered users only.
..where 'xx' is the length that you want.

Or do as I did and an extra field to your Database and your admin templates for a display URL which is different than the physical URL. Really useful when you have affiliate links that don't show the correct PageRank etc for the site you are advertising!

I have used the "Wrap text" option for now.

I may try the database option when I figure it out lol.
