Good idea. I assume this would be a method that allows people to write scripts that submit. Do you care to expound on this? Is there a working model of this sort of thing (in PHP) out on the net somewhere?

yes, ideally...tools like "submit to directory" could be created, people could have businesses revolving around this. The only thing the business owner would have to build is a list of phpLD directories.

I don't know of any APIs for directory submission per sae, but I'm sure a SOAP or RPC implementation could be done in php.
