So, slowly but shirley I'm getting this fugured out. (thanks to this forum)

DON'T LAUGH...OK! I can't figure out this email templates setup thing. (You laughed didn't you?) I just spent two hours searching through this forum and cannot find anyone explaining how to setup the email templates. I understand the control panel which seems straight forward but the drop down box only has a couple options there. So I found this link in the forum <www.bloggeries.com/emails.htm> for text for the templates (thank you bloggeries.com) which is great but... still confused! So in the example below, all is selfexplainitory accept where do you type in the (Link payment notif.) template name? Is that the template name? I'm buggin  I'm lost! help me.......please The answer is before me but my eyes deceive me....

Here is one of the examples from the link above:
Link payment notif. Template:
Title: Payment Received
Template Type: Link Owner Notif.
Subject: Bloggeries Payment Received
Body: Thank you for your request for submission to Bloggeries. Your payment for featured submission has been process and received. Please allow up to 48 hours for your link to be approved and added.
Thank you,
Bloggeries

Don't beat yourself up as there is no one here that will laugh at you for asking questions in a polite manner. We fight a little here but all in good jest :) Your answers will be dealt with but don't expect instant results as there are a lot of questions at the same time being dealt with by busy people. If I see that you haven't had answers, I will look for the answers for you even though I'm just a minion of the site, I still have some experience of where and who to ask,

Take care and be patient ok.

Kev

Ok here goes.

Open admin panel and go to System/Edit Email Templates

Then, click on New email template.

Fill in this info there.

Content visible to registered users only.

then save.

Next, Go back to main admin, and click System/Edit Settings/Notifications

Select a notification, and then select the corrosponding template.

Do that with each email template.

Once that is done go back to main admin.

Select system/edit settings/emailer

Fill in your information, click save, and test out the system by submitting a link as a visitor would.

:o OOooooh man. Right there in front of me wasn't it?

I had setup all of the templates in the emailer but I failed to associate that section with the ....." System/Edit Settings/Notifications/ select the corrosponding template" section. To bad those two sections couldn't be in the same control panel.

:D Many thanks to you and all of you folks who give your time and talents to help folks like this old geeezer.

Does anyone out there know of a really good 2 or 3 column with header and footer layout that is available and reasonably easy to apply? I'm interested in buying a couple of the 3.0 versions but I really would like a left and right column so I can get the directory to match my other sites.
Thanks again
