Feed items garbled on import

I have tried importing feed items from Google (as well as others) but the items get garbled when they come in. Then they mess up the whole database and the feeds do not even show in the admin panel.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It appears it might have to do with html code in the feeds but I'm not sure.

I tried NewsTopica 2.0 but the same thing happens.

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem with version 2 beta. I talked to David about it before the release and he was suppose to get that fixed before the release!!!

I found another post that discusses this. They suggest disabling the html tags from the link item description.

I tried this and it seems to work. Now Google feed items import with no problem.
