I think that is VSDan's website.

I'm sure you've seen all of the mods he's created for you guys, out of the generosity of his kindness.

I think the only way you'll be able to get your site like his, is to learn php and Smarty, along with some basic SQL syntax.

However, I strongly suggest you not take the route of site duplication, and use your creative, and be more original.

I have to agree with the last post, you can't realistically expect to have a site as sophisticated as this without either serious hard work, a bit of money, and certainly time. Well that is unless you are a supporter of this site and talk to people like me nicely. :) I'm lucky to have a very large library of e-books on every aspect of web design from the basic idiots guide to php to the latest versions of mysql databasing and so on. I give these away FREE to supporters of the forum. There are also lots of mods other than VSDans that many other users have paid for and these are also available to supporters of this site so you could quite easily get a nice site developed with the help available here, the important thing though is to pay attention to the last posters words in that you should never try and duplicate other peoples sites as this usually ends in tears and we don't want that now do we.

Hope you find what you want and if there is anything I can do to help feel free to p.m me. I never ask anything in return from money to links, all I ask is you support phplinkdirectory by respecting the backlink rules.

Good luck,

Kev

He has quite a few mods.
phpLD is designed in a way that allows modding and differences in design and functionality, but it is up to each directory owner to set the course for their directory. It is true the VSDan has put a lot of work into his directory.

Hi Doc:

Yes, the site is mine =) I can assist in installing the mods you want (mine or others - not all our mine, but most are). I can also assist in your template design - won't make it look completely like mine, but I can incorporate some of the basic elements. Either I can provide feedback if you wish to tackle it yourself, or I can do it for you for a fee. In the case of the latter, you would just have to provide a detailed and itemized list of what you want.

All that would be needed is a desire to learn and time. money is not something that is needed. Actually, in design(website wise) money is never needed.

If you are a rush and really want to get things up and running, then money would be the obvious choice, and i would highly recommend VSDan to get your site out for you. He obviously knows his code, the directory, and how to implement things very well.

Also stuw has provided some extremely nice templates for others to use, so you'd definately want to get your 3.02 version $25 copy of the script and $10 access to the support forum.
