How to get rid of the id inside the verification code

the id inside the verificantion code "R203897" is changing every time and so the user going back to complete the registration after having inserted the code will find a new id and both will never validate

in admin panel

system--> edit settings--> directory--> *Enable ID--> drop down box, and select 'no'--> then save
