Hi,

I purchased the version 3 and can install by my self. I have a question though. It says in the install notes that if I wanted to edit the template files I would have to give writing permissions to all files in the templates folder.

There are 3 folders Core,Default and Professional and these further contain folders and files .All in there are about 200 files in the templates folder. The folders permission is set at 755 and the files 644.

I am using Hostgator. So according to the install instructions am I supposed to set writing permission 777 for every one of these 200 folders and files.

Please help.

755 is fine for hostgator and their ftp setup chmods folders to 755 auto so upload and rename the config.php and go to the install page. step 2 will tell you if you need to chmod anything or not.
