Category drop down box removal

I was searching through the mods and couldn't find one that fit what I was looking for.
I did a dmoz import and have 10k + categories on my site, now when ever you want to 'add a link' it takes years to load that drop down box because there are so many categories. Is there a mod out there that will allow me to just display the category that they clicked 'add link' from instead of the drop down box? Thanks!

Unfortunetly that still loads the drop down box that I want to get rid of, all though it does accomplish something good if the users clicks on the submit button from the home page. Thanks for the tip.
