Is there any way to implement a coupn code at the submit menu?

I think it should be a seperate payment option that allows them to input a code, and if the code is correct, it would make it possible to run types of promotions, without changing prices all the time.

I'm very interested in this feature also. If someone made this mod and offered it on a paid basis, I would definitely buy it. I'd want to be able to create a few different coupon codes, not just one.

I'm thinking the following two mods could be used together to create something that would work:

With that last one, two payment options could be added: promoreg (a regular link at a promotional price) and promofeat (a featured link at a promotional price). Then they could be made hidden input fields on submit.tpl. The tricky part I think would be validating the entered coupon code and adjusting the price accordingly. My intentions for this mod, if it can be pulled off, are: I plan to hire people to sell listings in my directory. Each salesperson would have a different code that they would give to all the potential customers they called. The code would give the customers a discount when they signed up (a certain dollar amount deducted from either the regular or featured listing price), and it would ensure for me that the customer was actually called by a salesperson, and didn't just find the site by way of search engine, advertisement, or whatever, and sign up on their own.

I'm currently using version 2, but plan to upgrade to 3 sooner or later, so if this mod is written and charged for, I'd need it to be in two versions, so I could still use it after upgrading without paying again.

Actually, the salespeople wouldn't necessarily have to have different codes, they all could use the same one, because I would be giving each rep lists of businesses to call. I mean, it would make it more convenient if they could have different codes, that way I wouldn't have to look up which salesperson to credit with a commission, but I could live with having to do that, if the mod writer wasn't skilled enough or didn't want to take the time to make multiple codes possible.

I made some progress on this, but got behind again with custom designs. I am booked until next weekend, but will try to get more done on this in my free time or as soon as I can get caught up again.

A v2 and V3 would be nice.

Then again, a V3 only option would give me an excuse to buy V3. :) :)

i would donate if it had features such as:
Allow a Global coupn - anyone can use it before it expires
A Unique Coupon - One person can use that coupon before it expires
Different discounts - e.g. 5% off, $5 off, buy on get one free (use cookies)

I'm still very interested in this mod, but I have an additional purpose in mind for it. When someone pays for a listing, I'd like to be able to offer them a coupon code to submit the same listing to, say, up to three more categories, at a discounted price. The coupon would only be good for the same type of listing (regular or featured) that they'd paid for. Since URLs are optional on my directory, I guess the mod would have to check by Title to see if it was the same listing.

Would that be doable? I'm already a member of your script vault, Dan, but I would donate more for this mod.
