Hi there,
I am brand new to phpld and right now on a kick to get my directory up and running, I am interested in the screenshot processor but I have a couple of questions.
1. Are there any demo sites using it that you could show?
2. What 'browser' is it using to render the screenshots?
3. Is it ok and possible to use the processor with more than one site (ie. database)
Thanks,

I'm using it on my new project at 1SDS.net. Sample page here: http://www.1sds.net/detail/link-23.html
It's not using a physical browser that some other applications like this use. It runs wholly within the application itself. The dev guys should be able to tell you more about the rendering engine and what browser it might be based on.
Bruce.

Hi Bruce,
thanks for the info - I appreciate that.
I am looking at your screenshots and i noticed they are a little beveled, shaded and skewed, is that something you have done manually or something thats possible to add automatically?
Anyway you could show me a screenshot of one of my sites that uses js heavily - joomlaviews.com ?

Yes, that is something I did!
Actually, the shots are not themselves altered in anyway. I just added some PNG graphic over the top in layered divs. The application is new and I think it will get developed further on down the line and this is a feature I would like to see included.... the ability to specify an image, filter or effect and have that render on the thumbnail!
Your JS heavy site should be no problem for the processor. Some sites that take a long time to load 'may' not render properly.., but I have had very few problems with it, apart from sites that use a lot of URL forwarding. In my opinion, the owners should be castrated for that anyway!
Bruce.

that is nice, I would assume that once purchased, updates are free so it wouldn't hurt to be an early adopter.
Is it possible to switch between databases or is it locked down or would you need to reenter the info for each database?
Thanks again Bruce,

LOL @ castrated. The browser engine is IE to the best of my knowledge.

Content visible to registered users only.
Yes, updates are free. And we are already planning future releases.
You can save projects and reopen them, so that means it is not a problem connecting to multiple databases.
