I started my directory on feb24 2006 it had a pr rank of 0 then. Yesterday I looked it was 4 today I looked it was 3. I am on static IP so i should be getting the same PR server for score every time, any one have an idea why it is changes so fast? I thought PR was updated monthly or so
You can use this tool to check your PR:
http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_checker
Google has still not fully updated its servers since the last update. dirmac dot org is currently showing a 4 on the google toolbar. Its not a problem with your IP, its a problem with Google's various servers not updating to your new PR.

hey, yeah PRs are going wild right now because google is updating them.
ive gone up from 0 to 3 on two of my websites, and have stayed at 5 on my personal blog and 3 on my dead web hosting business.
anyone get real lucky?

My directory was started in Dec. During this update, I never know from one day to the other what the PR is showing. most days it is 0 on the toolbar for me, but others see a 5. Today, I see a 5 on the toolbar, yet a friend of mine sees it as a 0.
just have to wait until the update is finished for it to settle down.

I think that there is a high probability that the reason for your variance on PR status is that Google does not always provide you with results from the same database all of the time. As we all know from nosing at our page ranks some data centres have you ranked at say PR5 where another will have you at PR3 or even a PR0 It appears that its simply pot luck on what database you get picked up on. :? This is just my theory but it does kind of ring true to common sense doesn't it?
