Installation Error

Hi, first time poster, long time reader.
I've been waiting on the featured listings feature and now that it is available I thought I'd try it out.

Trying to install 2.0rc4 and getting the following error on the second step of the installation:
Content visible to registered users only.

Since I'm just starting with this script, not sure what v_step is or how to register it.

Could I get some ideas what may be causing this?

any chance you can post your url?
One thought....some ftp programs will change the capitalization of file names, so you might check the files in the Smarty library especially.

strange, I just posted the url in this message and clicked it and the script is working ok now. Oh, well... thanks and I'll check back if I run into any other issues.

Well, I plugged in bogus info on the second page and got this message:

"An error occured while connecting to the database. Please check your database username and password.

If you require help with your database server settings, please consult your hosting company.

The database server returned the following message:

Access denied for user: 'test@localhost' (Using password: YES)"

If you like, PM me the real stuff.

I hadn't actually gotten to setup the db yet, as of now everything seems to be working ok. I do seem to be having an issue with using IE, it appears the sessions are causing an issue, but I don't htink this is a script problem.

appears to be a firefox bug. works fine in IE.
