Invalid url's show the directory, no 404 status

It looks like someone deep linked into my directory onto an invalid url:

{non working url removed}

The problem is, now people can click on these categories and it will create even more invalid url's. Anyway you can have it throw a 404 when someone accesses an invalid category?
