Admin Login Problem - Cannot login

I just installed the Directory and when I try to login to the admin account I get an " Invalid username or password " error.

I went into the database and tried to change the password and got the same error.

Created another admin user and still same result.

Any ideas???

Hello and welcome!

What version are you using?
Are you upgrading/installing on a previous DB?

If you don't have many users, try to empty the users tables (PLD_USER, PLD_USER_SEQ and PLD_USER_PERMISSION) then install again. You can also remove these tables.

Did you had other error messages during installation?

Please try to provide more details if you have some.

Version 2
No errors during installation.
Fresh install. Not an upgrade.
No users in database.
Only user was the admin user that was created during install.

Tried changing the password thru phpadmin and logging in, but that gave same result.

Added another admin user thru phpadmin and still got the "invalid user or password" error trying to log into the admin page.

dWell I don't know what I did differently, but I uninstalled EVERYTHING and reinstalled everything and all is good for now.

Was the database something you made, or one that was imported with categories already in place?

try deleting the database, and re-install with fresh database.

If you are goign to re-install:

1. if you installed from IE the first time, try installing with FireFox this time

else

2. if you installed from FireFox the first time, try installing with IE this time


If need be, one of us can peer into your db as a 'second' set of eyes, if you need it.

I got it working guys thanks.
I may not have set the permissions right or something I guess.
Who knows.

When in doubt uninstall and reinstall I guess.
