search box on a non directory page

I have a site where the directory is not my main page. But I would like to have the search box to be shown on my main page. Can this be done? I did a quick search but did not find anything. If it has been answered, please kindly post the link. Thanks.

i'm sorry that i cannot offer you any advise at present, but hopefully Boby can drop in and take a stab at it.

No problem, I got it to work. It was very easy. I just copied the code from the directory page to the page I needed and put in the full URLs. Thanks though.

This has actually gotten me to take a look on the search too, and now i i'm loading a specific template paged on search/seek. hehe... man i hate when this happens to me. curiosity killed the cat aka my development time, because i want to 'learn' hahaha

the more i dig into this code, the better and better (and EASIER) things become as far as customizing.
