Is it possible to convert gossamer-threads.com links2 to phpld?
For on of my directory, i am using gossamer-threads.com links 2 version, which uses flat file system to store data.
does anyone knows the solution?
anything is possible.
you'll have to pay someone to do it for you.
what version of phpld do you use?

Hi there Scorpion, I work for Kevin, if you want I will show you how to convert your flatfile into mysql. If it can be done, I will certainly do it. Here's the first thing to do... It will give you the relevant links to show you how to convert flatfile to mysql. I would highly reccomend that you go for the paid version of phpld as it caters for losts more and the new upgrade due in a few weeks will be a whole lot better than ANY out there and that is a fact. I have been told by Kev to give preference to supporters of this forum as it is those who keep this place going so if you can please try and donate so that your contribution will go to help build the revamp even quicker.
All the best.
Steve

Thanks for the info kevin, basically i am looking for some one who converts the stuff for me. reading all those things is out of my mind :(
may be david can do this, already sent him a pm and he is looking into it.

Sorry but I am using Kevin's post for him. The names Steve but you can call me what you want. The thing is that asking for someone to do a conversion for you in the hope you buy the supported version is probably down to the more important people here. I won't do it as it is beyond my remit and I know Kevin doesn't have any input more that supporting the script by paying for it and helping out by paying for mods.
Wait for one of the guys here to pick up on this thread, they will look at the link I provided and should find it super easy to do which it is.
I know this is a little vague but you will get help and the fact flatfile data can be converted to sql is the important thing. The software is opensource and free so there is no problem there.
Hope you enjoy PHPLD, when I get to nose a little more around here I might have more confidence to help more than just give you direction.
Cya,
Steve, or Kev, or Dave, whatever name you like, my ma called me Steve though. :)
i'd like to at least *see* the flat file.
i mess with stuff like this all the time. it's sort of a 'fun' thing of mine i have :D
