So, I was looking at my Google cached pages of my site. I noticed a nice set of links appearing at the very top of my pages.... where are these coming from?

Here they are...

Appears that I was hacked because of the security settings that are to be applied to /temp folder and it sub folders as per the install.txt instructions. From some quick research, it appears assigning these folders with CHMOD 777 opens the door to this type of risk. Are others setting their folders to 755?

Check with your hoster, if your webserver is running as same user/group (just on *NIX servers) like the owner of your files (usually your FTP login), then you can use 755 or 775.

Maybe try also to turn cache off? -- I have not tried this, just a thought.
