Hi,

I am after a list of what each tpl file controls so that I can make a few little
tweaks. I did a quick search but I can't find it.

I am new to PLD, and this is my first post.

By the way I'd like to say this is a very nice script. I have version 3.03
and the features are excellent.

Why don't you break open the piggy bank and donate $10 to the phpld to get entry into the supporters forum? Its worth it.

Anyway: Tip: Grat niche directory but becuase you are using logos of the cars in queston, i/e mercedes etc you have a legal duty to put a notice on the bottom stating all logos are copyright of their respective owners.

Your call though,. just saving you the hassle of potential complaints in the future and also makes it look professional as you are giving credit where credit deserves  On the footer.tpl you might want to alter your company information to your copyright etc.

Top_bar.tpl controls the search box, submit url and the other two links etc. header.tpl controls where you can put your logo etc. Footer.tpl controls the copyright stuff etc. the main.tpl would control the main body content etc. and so on. You can see that it becomes pretty obvious after a while, altough if you are using a paid version perhaps consideration will be given to a complete e-book on this kind of thing as it is a selling point for the script and I am sure that it would help a lot of users. The one thing you must understand though is that often many templates are different and so codes differ in working, however the basics are just that so you should not need too much help.

Good lcuk,

Kev

Thanks for the great advice. I'm joining the support forum shortly.

Oops, forgot the logo thing. Thanks for reminding me.

Content visible to registered users only.

Well looks like I joined through the donate button instead of inside the members area - which would have been better I suppose since it will show up

Good luck to you mate, remember that phpld is for all the people and your donation will be spent wisely by David and the Crew to get this script even better than it is.
