I cannot get past the Install Page

I get the following error even though the username and password are correct

An error occured while connecting to the database. Please check your database username and password.

If you require help with your database server settings, please consult your hosting company.

The database server returned the following message:

Access denied for user: '******@mail.dfsv22.com' (Using password: YES

there shouldnt be an @ or a . in your MySQL username

You have not put the correct user and password to your database its as simple as that I feel?
