That would be great! I would love to help you with this. There are several programmers that would all be happy to do this. If you have a couple of minutes, can write a little more detail about what you want?
i am very interested in furthering this script. I uave used other link management scripts and they all have fallen short of needs and been too restrictive/bloated to use.
Specifically, im looking to donate for these features:
import links from an existing page
require pre validation before allowing user to submit link
2x weekly email notification of links to be validated
auto link checking 1x month, ability to automatically email webmaster for link location
easy install/upgrade
send custom email reminders to add a link
hello? any developers here?

Hi cvos,
I have not forgotten about this. I'm planning the next upgrades.
The first thing that I wanted to address was configuration of items in the admin area. As we add features, some people will prefer not to have some of them, such as requiring reciprocal links.
So here is my plan:
I am going to add the following configuration options:
1. Require Reciprocal Links (yes or no)
2. Use Visual Confirmation (yes or no)
3. Use Hit Counter (yes or no)
As soon as this is done, we will add the spidering mod, which will allow links to be checked to make sure they are still reciprocating. In order to check monthly, a cron job will be needed (but there will also be a button to check all). We must also address the situation where the admin adds a link to the directory, but does not want to require a reciprocal. There must be a way for the admin to handle this. We can certainly automatically email the webmaster to ask for the location of the link in the case the recip is not found.
I plan to offer patch files in the next upgrade, so that you can just update the changed files.
Would you be willing to chip in $75, and I'll do the same?
(for what I mentioned above, and hopefully a couple of your other items if simple enough to implement)
yes, money is not the problem. im loooking for these and other features to be developed and installed, with fairly specific criteria and as soon as possible.

Ok, good...I believe this can be done within 7 days to your satisfaction, and certainly you will get some personal help with your specific installation.
If you like, we can do development right on your server. I would appreciate it if you could do 2 things for me:
1) send me $50 through paypal at david at david-duval.com (will need more, but appreciate this for getting started)
2) email the login to that same address.
Alternately, I could set it up in another place, where you can observe progress.
I may need you to expound a little on a couple of items:
1) Import Links from an Existing Page - Are you just wanting bring in links from your old link directory, or are you wanting to spider lots of pages, and import the links? If the first, should be no problem. If the second, that may need to be reserved for "phase 2".
2) Allowing Pre-validation before allowing a user to submit a link - So something like the submit an email address and desired password, and then they are emailed a validation link in order to be able to login (like a forum)?
3) Send custom email reminders to add a link - you mean in addition to the first email that is sent?
I believe I can get most of what I spoke about in my last response in about 7 days. Some of these other items may take a little longer, but can be done in a reasonable amount of time.
Thanks,
Davvid

I'm going to be finishing development on another site today (for now), and there will be an opening in the workflow, so let me know if you want me to move into this right away.
great! this is good dialog. is there a phone # i can call you at? i'd love to get this more formal. i anticipate these changes will take a bit of time.
1) Import Links - this would be from the existing links page
2) prevalidation would automatically spider submitters page to ensure link has indeed been added
3) if admin adds a link, and is waiting for a reciprocal, the user should receive 2 reminder emails before the link is suspended.
4) have these options for each link: active, pending, suspended, norecip, deleted. norecip is for linking to sites that will never recip, like irs.gov. deleted is for users who have requested never to be contacted by admin
