Having trouble with Alexa screen shots

what problem did you have?

I alway get a Forbidden Error when I try to update my screenshots with alexa.

anybody who knows what it is or has the same problem?

I will be releasing a mod soon that allows you to grab your own screen shots, and have a larger image on the Detail page. :)

since 3 or four weeks you can`t access the update site directly with the link.
You have to go to alexa and update the thumbs manually...

I haven't decided yet, but it is costing me a good bit, so I think I will charge something for it, but not a lot.

The way it will work is you export a csv file from phpLD. You import it into this application. You run the script and it produces a thumbnail and a larger image, as well as a CSV file. You import the CSV file into phpLD, and you upload the images. Done.

It will probably be a few days still, but I think it will be quite cool too. :)

True, however, I don't see the point in giving everyone a thumbnail, even free listings
who have not paid nothing towards your hosting bills why give them visual promotion that costs you money?

I think thumbnails for featured or paid links only will help with bandwidth costs.

Every listing having a thumbnail kind of takes away from its novelty. On site completion
Im thinking of only providing them to featured/paid links like:

Featured links - more details link plus thumbnail.

Paid links - More details link - no thumbnails.

Free links - no more details, no thumbnails.

Im sure the more details page will become more value when the 'extra links' for listings feature comes out.

I'm probably going to sell it for $12. Let me finish it first.
It really is working, but definitely not synced with phpLD.
We have to create a system to export the csv, import the new csv and create the mysql table. That part will take at least one more day.
