Do you have an ETA?
Also how well does newstopica scale or will scale with a comment system?
Perhaps with a site with heavy traffic like mine, I will setup newstopica
and then use wget to write the data to a flat file on the website once every minute through cron. So the users-clients will read the flat file rather than make a mysql db query with each page hit.

We are doing it on phpMySite right now, and that shoud be done today or tomorrow, and phpMySite is a direct derivative of the article script, so I hope only a couple of days, at which time we will release the next version of the article script.

That last post was a few weeks ago, is it ready yet?

Content visible to registered users only.
Just wondering if this exists yet? I'd love to be able to use a comments system, and I'd rather not have to write one myself. lol

Hi, so firstly, I want to make sure you understand that phpLD News is now replacing Newstopica, and if you have purchased Newstopica in the past, you can now login to your new phpLD News account at www.phpldnews.com (http://www.phpldnews.com).
We have the comment system on 2 of our new scripts, www.phpldarticle.com (http://www.phpldarticle.com) and www.phpldphoto.com (http://www.phpldphoto.com) (both nearing completion). It will be pretty easy to move this over to www.phpldnews.com (http://www.phpldnews.com), but to date, but I want to make sure we are getting some people giving their feedback on the new phpLD News before we start adding features. Has anyone installed phpLD News yet?

Sorry, I asked this in totally the wrong forum! I meant to ask if a comment system for available for the original phpLD. I've actually just written a rudimentary (http://www.oiopublisher.com/link-1/simon-emery/) one myself for the listing details page, with askimet spam protection. I'll zip the code up and attach it (in the right forum this time) in case anyone is interested.
