Emailer automatic or manual?

I have been adding links in the beginning so that my directory isn't bare. Well, I have never received any of the email messages that I put into the emailer system. Aren't they automatic? It seems like you have to send them manually.

actually, are you using smtp? sendmail? or php?

I set it to sendmail. So it is supposed to be automatic?

Yes, it is automatic. It works perfectly. Do you have your templates set up and the notifyers?

Yeah, I do. I just had a thought. I am adding the links in the admin area and I put my email address in to test it out and see if I would get the email notification. Perhaps the notifications will only be sent out if you submit your link through the front-end rather than the admin area. Is that the case?

You are correct. It only works when you use the submit form.
