Admin Password/username not working...

I FINALLY got newstopica to install right, but now my admin pw/un isn't working. Any suggestions?

Well, we are not using encryption, so you should be able to alter the user table thru phpmyadmin and add or edit a user to make sure you have an accurate user/password.

So, what exactly is phpmyadmin? I'm totally confused...did I miss something when installing? I'm not normally a php guy, so any extra info wpould be very helpful...
