I have played with ArticleScript for a while and find it very user friendly even for PHP nob as myself and well worth the price.
This is the list of features I would love to see in the next version:
1. Rating system which would allow readers rate articles.
1-a. Ability to sort articles by rating and "Highest Rated" button on the main menu (similar to "latest articles")
2. Hits counter.
2.a Ability to sort articles by number of hits and "Popular" button on the main menu (also similar to "latest articles")
3. Block to display total number of categories and articles (or subcategories when inside of main category).
4. Feature to allow authors to suggest category from the main page and subcategory from category pages.
5. To separate categories from subcategories in the main menu: if visitors clicks on the main category I would want to see the box with the list of subcategories on top of the page and list of latest articles in that main category below that box.
:!: I am ready to chip-in $5 for EACH of this mods if David or any of you php-Guru guys are willing to develop it. :?:
