RSS Submit settings ...
Require reciprocal link = Yes
... but ...
"Reciprocal Link URL" on http://www.newstopica.com/demo2/submit.php is missing.
I need this to get my site running. Thanks.

So they submit an RSS url (not regular link), but they also have to provide a reciprical link. Is that what you need?

Yes. They have to have a link back to my site. This is required to better my position in the search engines. For my sponsor feeds which I input via the admin panel, no link back is required. Unless I can do this, the script doesn't really help me. Thanks.

I think we can do this. Bug me if you don't get an answer soon.
Thanks,
David
David, are we slated for a newstopica release? I haven't been following much and since i'm goign to be re-talling it again, i can wait and grab my info from elsewhere for the time being if there is going to be a release in a few days.

I think this is the same problem I pointed out on this thread...
{thread no longer in service}
david.. please dont take this the wrong way..as I totally appreciate the scripts and help forum you have put together...
But when the first version of newstopica was put up for sale it gave the impression to me it had the same features as link directory as far as accepting RSS links into it was concerned.. i.e reciprocal links free listing.. and paypal paments for one way links etc..
but this new release has just took all of that out? Im a bit confused as to what newstopica was constructed to be?.. was it just meant to be a directory that you inserted all the feeds in yourself?

The problem we are having is trying to have the best of two worlds:
1) We want to allow people to submit RSS feeds
2) We want to allow people to submit links (especially featured links)
And also in some cases:
1) We want to require reciprocal links for RSS Feeds
2) We want to require reciprocal links for link submissions
So you can see we have dilemnas where not all NewsTopica users have the same goals. So we either have to:
1) Have a "no holds barred" wrestling match between NewsTopica users
2) Find a way to make NewsTopica flexible enough to handle different needs.
I will be working on #2, but I'm going to need a little time to get it all working, ok?
I would like the latest newstopica emailed to me if you can.
Thx.

lets wrestle!!!
lol...
cheers david..
The same idea as link directory but just for RSS feeds is the one I reckon..
Paid Featured feed, paid submission of feed, and free feed submission with a regular reciprocal link back
then it would be the DON!

did anyone get to look at the reciprcal link thing?
Ive treid pasting the reciprocal link code on 2 different sites I own now and used the URLs in the submit form.. but It still cant find the link back...
I can wait a while for the paypal feature, but without being able to submit a link it renders this script worthless for what I bought it for....
