cant set approve and email for approved link notification

i have created an email template for approval which is set for email and add link
when i goto notifications i can only select notifications in the dropdown
it wont let me select any set with the email and add link variable..
i thought there was a fix but couldnt find it

I don't think you can select that option from there also im not sure you are supposed to
be able to.

You can from:

emailer>send email and add link>

If you want to send a link approval notification you must set it as a 'Link Owner Notif'
