Just wondering things like screen shot on directory listing pages, then screen shots, custom content such as adding html code, more records and things on the listing page..is there any easy way to do all this such as free mods or would i have to pay for custom work?

Actually, most of all this is available already, and you don't need mods. The Chrome template that comes with phpLD already has thumbshots integrated. Also, there is a place on the homepage and all category pages where you can add html code right through the admin panel. There are also several optional features on the listing pages that can be turned on or off such as google maps.
