I've had this problem for awhile now. The only problem is it doesn't happen every time. I keep getting complaints about people trying to add their link and put in a reciprocal URL where my link is and it won't let them submit it. Gives the reciprocal url error. Here is the email I got,

"When I hit the submit button it keeps kicking back the response "recipricol link could not be found"

I see the link and looked at the source code and it looks good. This is probably the 4th or 5th that I know of, I wonder how many just haven't emailed me to tell me. Any suggestions??? I tried to turn off require Reciprocal URL and it still didn''t work. Maybe I can even get rid of it all together because I look at every link and make sure their is a link back.

Any help would be great.

Just received another email reguarding this issue. The site I see my link at the bottom, but she can't add the link to my site. I tried it myself and it doesn't work. Is there a way to just get rid of that part of the submit page. I backed up the page and I tried it last night and then the submit button wouldn't work at all so I switched it back.

Well I tried again to remove the Rreciprocal URL part on the submit page. Then if you choose Reciprocal URL and put in your info and click continue nothing happens. if you choose a paid option it works. So I must be missing something with the Radio buttons. Wish I knew PHP :) I'm trying though and that's what makes it so fun.

P.S. If any one has any suggestions let me know. I'd like to just delete it so I don't have to worry about it and then I was going to add two link back options in that place a text link and a image link.

I guess no one has any ideas. It's kind of weird that it only happens to some sites, I received 3 links today with no problems.

I don't require reciprocals on my dir, but I am annoyed that whenever I submit to another site that uses phpld, I am usually refused with a "recip. not found" type error... Did you ever find out why this happens?

Here's the deal. I think the reciprocal required is this full html link that looks like this.

<a href="http://www.somesite.net" id="R64B773">Somesite</a>

Link don't always look exactly like that, and many people do not adjust the default... I believe the setting can be adjusted in Site>Settings
