View Full Version : Unbranded... not unbranded?

Hi. I just purchased the Unbranded version and installed 3.0.3, but there's still a link at the bottom to PHP Link Directory. Am I supposed to remove the link or is this not the unbranded version?

Also, I just did the 3.0.3 fix that was posted previously. Which also got me thinking that this is not the right version. If you read in that link, it says "The new package is updated but here is the fix: " but it wasn't in the (unbranded) version I downloaded and installed.

Hi, we just offer one version of the software package, so you do need to remove the link from footer.tpl. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I also thought the new package was updated, so that would be news to me. :)

We are about to release 3.04 shortly also, so if you are able to wait a couple of days before you start modding it, you might be glad you did.

Ok. Thanks. It's no inconvenience at all, I was just curious.

Will there be notification of future releases by email, or do I need to check back every so often?

check back for now.

I do really think an 'opt-in' for emails is the way to really provide the most efficient means of ugrades and updates though, so hopefully that'll be an option soon enough.

Yes, I will try to send an email when it is released.
We keep finding small things that need to be done, so that is the reason for the delay. That way hopefully this will be the most bug free release ever. :)

Hello, I just downloaded the lastest and greatest "unbranded" and installed it. To my amazement, it was still "branded"? Did I download the wrong file?

No, you just need to go into footer.tpl and remove the link.

If I go with branded for now, can I upgrade to UNBRANDED at a later time if I like?
