hi i put up a new dir computer-directory us and i love it mor ethen words can say! this is the best thing i have ever seen on the net..

the only problem im having is it takes 10 secs to load for people.

its not busy its new and i set it up the right way! i rebilt the site casha and all do you know what could be wrong???

It is taking about 3 seconds for me right now. Make sure you get access to the supporters forum. You can PM me your phpLD username and I will get you in.

Loaded in under a second for me.

Enable ajax selection for the directory front end and admin

it loads slowww for meany people even when im adding a link buy is it slow! i mean takes some times 9 secs to change pages..

tryed differnt browers i have a 2 data base a old pholink and it dose not do that..

maybe this setting im tryin gto find ajac will help?

Thing is I dont see the admin so hard for me to tell :)

Under Settings in admin
choose directory and then you will see a drop down to choose ajax selection

then under admin area you can do so also.

thanks i did it im going to try it to see how it works.. i wonder why this is not set by default ?

wow it worked.. way way way faster.. thanks.

do you guys know some one post a link i have 6,000 citys and when they find there city its very hard as its a very long list.. is this a bad idea listing every city?

any other ideas to why my phpld site is running slow would be appreciated?

I've tried the suggestions. The admin area seems faster than the user side

Looks like a hosting issue to me. I tried a little earlier and it was painfully slow to load. Now it's pretty quick.

I haven't changed a thing and it's faster today.


I'll monitor it and speak to the hosting company as suggested if the problem reoccurs.
