Hello devs, I'm interested in translating link directory to another language, but i do not see a language file. so i'm assuming the constants are hard coded in the script. is there any plan to make translation simpler? thanks and keep up the good work.

This is a great idea. It would be great if you wanted to help us with this. I'll talk to a couple of the other folks and see how much work this would be.

Guys, I want to translate too (in russian), but see no language file as well.

Any news from headquarters? ;-)

We are not in a good situation to start doing translations. The reason is the language stuff is spread throughout the program. We are DEFINITELY going to centralize the language files so we can start offering translations. We just need to find the time to do the work (and money too). I'm guessing it will be 2-4 weeks. Right now we are finishing up the sponsored links / pay for listing mod. You can view the progress at WebSVN (and even download the latest development version, which seems quite stable. :)

I am ready to make bulgarian translation. Until then how can I change 'Directory home', 'Submit link' and 'Search' to my mother language?

Content visible to registered users only.

You'll just need to do a find/replace in something like DreamWeaver.

Hello All,

If you want I could edit the "Directory Home", "Submit Link" and "Search" to your mother language and then offer those files for you and others to download.

Let me know if you're interested.

To settle the translation issues: phpLD supports translations, but they are just not enabled in admin because there are few details that have not been solved yet.
The whole application (admin, installer, frontend) can be translated just by editing one language file (that is not published yet).

Hi all, I installed the last SVN and there is a lang directory with files, but all seems to be hard-coded in the templates files instead of using the lang file.
How can I use the lang file ?
Thanks

We are not going to be implenting the language files until after the Final Release, which is at least 2 weeks away. We just haven't received enough donations to handle the investment in programming time. We will be doing it...but it will be at least a couple of months, unless someone is able to make a sizeable donation to help us with the costs.

Anyways, don't worry, we WILL get to it. The question is when.

Hi there!

How are the lanuage files going?

It will definitely be more than 3 weeks from now, but we certainly have not forgotten. Seeing how many people seek this addition to the script, I will d my best to prioritize it. If anyone can, a donation would really help move this along.
thanks
David

I'll do the translation into Swedish.

As I mentioned before, please can you do the fixes för ü, å, ä, ö to the mod_rewrite function and for emails?

I got an email today, reporting of a new site registred. It said "Gö" instead of Ö, for instance. This should be to hard to fix?
