EMAIL SUBSCRIBED MEMBERS (COI Newsletter)
Allows you to send emails or newsletters to your user base that have opted in to receive them. Admin options allow you to send to selected groups of members, including random groups, specified user ID ranges and members by Alpha-numeric.

MULTIPART EMAILS
Allows you to set up both HTML and Plain Text versions of your system emails that are sent to users. Also supports your admin notifications and contact form emails. If a user is not able to view HTML email, then they will be presented with the plain text version instead.

SEARCH TAGS (with a difference)
Adds a configurable tag-cloud with a difference on your site based on searches performed. Add an extra field to the submit page allowing submitters to specify a master keyword, which is then added to to the tag cloud. When a user then performs a search or clicks on a tag using the same term as the Master Keyword, the results will have a much better chance of showing the listing.

ADS IN EMAILS
Allow you to display and rotate ads (or any other content) in your site emails. Ads are entered into a new admin area. Multiple activated ads are rotated randomly.

SITE ADS / BANNERS
Configurable from admin, this mod allows you to enter ads into admin for display anywhere on your site. Once configured, you can add, delete, disable or activate ads. Multiple zones can be configured and any ads in the same zone are picked randomly.

HISTORICAL EVENTS
Displays events on anywhere on your site that are related to the same day in history. Events are entered into admin

SEQUENCE WARNING FOR ADMIN
Displays a warning in your admin panel when your database sequence warnings for articles, categories and links go out of sync. Also disables your front end submit forms to prevent data loss until your sequence has been fixed. Also displays info to correct the sequence.

ADVANCED COUPONS
Allows the setting up of coupons so that you give codes out to people and organisations for discounts on submissions. Coupons features are maximum usage, expiry date, sperate pricing for link types and trusted, allowing for immediate approval if selected for that coupon.

MERCHANT COUPONS
Allows submitters to create coupons to display with their listigs. Coupons are displayed as a 'cut out' and feature a printer friendly option.

BIGGER MAP
Allows a 'zooming' feature of Google maps when a trigger is rolled over. The bigger map can have a different zoom level and settings.

YOUTUBE VIDEO MOD ENHANCEMENT (for categories)
Allows you to enter keywords especially for the video and enables you to be able to switch videos on and off for certain categories.

REMINDER-REJECT
Sends out a reminder after a set amount of days to unconfirmed link submissions. If submission remains unconfirmed, listing is deleted and rejection email sent out after another specified period. Also manual reminders can be send for each uncofirmed link.

REMOTE REJECT / APPROVE
You can now reject or approve link submissions without the need to log onto your account. Admin notifications now include all data regarding the links submission, as well as links for you to be able to approve or reject submissions AND send out custom notifications with a single click. Huge time saver.

AUTO-ROBOT SPAM TRAP
Catches many robot and automated submissions and flags them in admin. You then have the choice of either deleting them individually, or deleting all of them with a single click from Admin. Also ability to set as Cron to delete automatically without any intervention required. Custom notifications are sent out automatically when rejected.

ADVANCED TOOL TIPS
Allows the configuration of advances tool tip pop-ups anywhere on your site. Each tool tip is created by pasting a single line of code and the contents of the tool tips are all contained on a single template editable from Admin.

ADMIN MENU REORGANISATION
Puts all related elements together in the same area, such as Link Payments, Approve Links, Link Comments etc and also displays stats next to each option, showing exactly how many of each option there are. So you know exactly how many Link Payments there are, or how many categories need approving. Extra options can be added, such as a link to display just Top-Level categories etc.

Allows you to edit and administer listing and article comments made by users from within admin. Also allows you to manually add new comments.

BUSINESS LISTINGS ENHANCEMENT
Adds an ability for submitters to choose whether maps are displayed for their listing or not, as well as giving them the option to display a business email address if they want to. Used in conjunction with VSDan's 'Contact Listing' mod, it also allows the submitter to prevent them being contacted through your site. Also, 'Country' field added to address and applied to maps.

Just wanted to leave a reply on the mods added to my site from bruleo.

Thanks for the wonderful mods Bruce they are all great additions to my site.

The Multipart emails are just great, easy to configure and you can make a nice template to give a clean looking HTML email.

The newsletter mod is also a nice one, i have about 40 double opt in members so far, now it is time to send out some newsletters. :D

Advanced coupons are a great addition as well have used them a few times now and they work great.

There all easy to configure as most of your mods are configurable in admin witch make them wonderful to work with.

Technically, that would still be spam. Sending any unsolicited email, even if it is asking for their permission to send future emails. I would be pretty annoyed if I signed up somewhere then got an email from them asking if they could send me emails.

As for 'top email providers' allowing you to import list, well that's the point isn't it.... They are EMAIL providers. phpLD is a link directory script and NOT a spam tool. Even the email providers would close your account of you started mass emailing.

AGAIN, I will state that it is COI (Confirmed Opt-In) NEWSLETTER mod.

If an existing user wants to opt in, they only have to go to their member area and check the box... a confirm link will then be sent. If they don't visit the member area, then they are very unlikely to want to hear from you.

However, that said, anything is possible and just a few minor edits would allow you to email every user, but I am not going to post how to do that.

It is also a very simple process to extract all user's emails from the database, so you could do what you want anyway (Query for that is in the forums) and use one of your 'top email providers' for the purpose.

As a side note, no wonder there is so much spam on the internet when people cannot grasp the established concept of 'Confirmed Opt In'. For reference, it's when a user 'asks' or 'requests' or indicates and interest to be entered into a list and NOT the other way around.

Hi Bruce,
Just wanted to leave a comment about the multipart email mod.

To be honest, I think that this is a necessity for anyone with a professional directory. I'm saying this because the initial email that the user gets after creating a profile is ultimately the first impression of the programming end of the site. And for me, I like to leave good impressions to my users, especially when I'm trying to sell goods or services.

Perhaps some can comment on the fact that I'm quite fussy with these things, but in my mind, it's the small details that people appreciate and that ultimately bring in the coin... And this mod certainly has helped to accomplish that...

Great job and very neat with the programming. I highly recommend this mod to anyone who is considering buying it and I really appreciate the swift installation ! :)

ADVANCED TOOL TIPS, Is a great MOD, I got the instructions from Bruce and they are easy to follow! I also had him install the EXTRA LINK OPTIONS and he set it up as the Category Sponsor for me, great feature and I also have the PAGE COUNTER on the site that I sponsored so everyone could get it for free :). My advice is, let Bruce install any MOD that he offers the service for and save yourself a lot of time and maybe some trouble.

Bruelo (Bruce) just added ANOTHER mod to my highly mod-ed up site *conejovalley411.com*, and not only do they all work as promised, they work well WITH each other. Nice to have someone who understands not only his mods, but the basic PHPLD script inside and out.

This is actually the reason I switched from my previous PHPMD (phpmydirectory) site to PHPLD! Little forum support, and zero or expensive helpdesk support.

i have been playing with the widgets, and reading a lot, and trying mods..
But i am not a php programmer only now some html, so it is going slowly but getting there :D
But this list is very, very impressive!

hi again,

i have a question, i was browsing your mods, and went too your sites too check them out, i noticed you had events on one of them.
i am looking for a sort of calander mod.
i want to show upcomming events on my site.
(phpld 4.0)

It can be on a seperate page, with a widget like module to show the next events on the frontpage, on the seperate page a calander so you can click on a date with an event.
And be able to have an admin panel to control those events.
put new events on the calander/delete, and a function like automatic not showing after a specific date, not delete but inactive, (so yearly events just take a switch off date, to show again!) :D

Do you have such a mod?

I did start work in such a mod, but ended up shelving it as I had too much else going on. Will probably revisit it in a few weeks, when hopefully the project I am working on right now will be finished.

The events you see on my site is nothing more than category and a simple mod to just pull listings in that category.

Please note that all my mods are currenly undergoing compatibility tests for v4.1 of phpLD. I will post here and in each individual mod thread when the have been confirmed as compatible.

A few of the mods do need major rewrites, so it may be some time, but as and when they become available, everyone who bought previous versions for self-install will be able to request the updated version for free.

Being a newbie :confused::confused::confused: I was not sure about having someone in the UK doing work on my site. But after reading Bruleo's feedback I new I had nothing to worry about.

The first mod Bruleo (Bruce) installed was the "Random Featured Listings".
Excellent!!!! From the mod being completed in a timely manner to the mod working like it should... Perfect!!!

The second Mod Bruleo installed was the Ads/Banner Mod. This is a MUST HAVE. Great Mod. Once again the work and mod was outstanding.

Besides the mods Bruleo has helped me out with a fix here and there.
Perfect customer service, highly knowledgeable with phpld.
Recommed his mods and service to everyone.:)

I recently installed the Classifieds script. I need a mod where a visitor clicks on a category, say "Cars For Sale", and then they must be able to filter the results by location.

It's pointless searching for something, getting 200 results, and 190 of them are located 2000 miles away from where you are.

Is there such a mod available?

Not being a coder I always fumbled around the script to add extra features myself. Not any more!

After purchasing and installing the first mod, (Site Ads/Banners MOD), I was impressed with the functionality, layout and documentation. So much so that I recently purchased the majority of his fully installed mod packages which Bruce installed in a more than timely fashion.
