Hy there, i have a question, if anyone knows.
I know that when you edit a link if the link is already in the directory you will get an error saying that, but what happens when you approve a link directly from the Approve Links page, because i noticed that if the link is already in the directory it doesn't say.Will that link be there twice?

Why don't you test it and see...

:lol: true...just thought someone tryed that before me..ok just tested it and it put the same link twice in that cathegory, which is not good.
I foud out something else, when you submit a link, it the same Title exists in that cathegory you will get an error message.SO: Is it possible to make the same thing with the links, i mean if the link already exists in the directory, then the user won't be able to submit it again...(regardless of the cathegory)

Ok, Im using 304 however i'm sure this feature is available in v2
Admin>system>edit settings>link submit>Allow multiple submit: No
The description of this feature should read 'Allows the same link to be submited in different categories'.
I think that's what you're looking for if you don't want users to submit same link to different categories.
However I think links submitted by you via admin will overide this feature.
I hope it works in v2 tho, a lot of bugs have been fixed in v3 just hope that wasn't one of them that haunted
phpld or else you'll have to go 'bug fix' hunting! Noooooo!
G.luck. :wink:

Yeah, I know about this feature but it doen't work. It's already on NO, and it allower me to submit the same site several times even in the same cathegory.
And I think i'm using the lastes version...beacuse it says :"Your installation is up to date, no updates are available for your version of phpLinkDirectory."
...So, any other ideas.

Content visible to registered users only.
I know that in phpbb they use that kind of remote announcement to announce new upgrades.
However I think you may be using v2 if you downloaded the free version. v3+ is the paid version. This function works.
You may have to go bugfix hunting (via forum search function or ask a developer) to find a patch for v2.

realy this feature is not working properly. i've set this NO but public can submit duplicate link. when i trying to edit then it's showing a msg rgarding to duplicate link.
Also this feature is not work when 1 link is added like this:.domain.com
If site owner submit this site again like this: domain.com/, script can't detect him as a duplicate link.
I think it's a bug.
Thanks

Yup, that's exactly right, I am using the free version...i kinda searched the forums but couldn't find anything, maybe i just missed it or it's not there, so all that remains is ask a developer as you said..so, can you tell me how i can do that?
Thx for your time.

@spyrit try this:
{topic moved or deleted}
@Vegabond
Yes this does seem to be an issue, it also is with v3+, I'll report it, however,
I think any fix will probably be applied to a future release of v3 (unless a quick fix is provided independantly).
