Validate Links / Sitemap Issues

I don't know what is going on with my site, and am totally frustrated at this point.

I have the 3.03 installed on another site, no problems at all.

I had same problems with 3.03 so upgraded to 3.04 (total fresh installation)...
Can only get about 6% done of the validate links then page says done and stops.

When clicking on the sitemaps in the admin panel.....never loads / times out.
I have tried everything suggested.

How many links and categories are we dealing with here?
It sounds like some sort of timeout.

16800 links almost 2000 cats

So I downsized the links........ from 16800 to 3800 links...... from 2000 categories to 700.

Still can't run validate for more than a couple minutes, and sitemap still doesn't load.

And can't get outside software to make a google sitemap either.

Not that it matters to anyone but I am able to build a sitemap using Sitemap Builder and by using the 3.03 version htaccess.

I still can't do it from admin, but whatever.

I had exactly the same problem which Boby fixed for me. I think he is away now but when he comes back and or has more time I'll ask him exactly what he done to fix mine and will give the fix to you free as you are a supporter.

I am using v3.05 and also a paid user and phpld supporter so what is the fix for this issue.

I am having a timeout issue with the Regional PHP Directory 2.1.2. I have loaded every US state and city into the database. When anyone goes to submit a link, it times out at 30 seconds. I tried rem'ing out the loading of the regional table in submit.php and that resolved the issue. The issue now is that the regions do not show in the dropdown on the submit link page.

I tried making changes to the htacccess file and nothing changed.

Can this directory handle that many regions?
