The site is going to be a directory for particular vertical.
The directory will be B2B
Does PHPLD have the following features(apart from the general features of a directory)
1.Have paid "premium" listing
2. Paid premium listing owner will have a full webpage(or mini website with 2-3 page) can select a template(from list of templates) and "upgrade" their listings.
3. And/OR Admin can do the same(point 2.) from the backend if listing owner does not have expertise to create his own premium listing.
4. I am sure there is a mailing list.
5. Can there be other feature attached this directory service. Like the suppliers for the vertical can hold actions for the listing owners.

Please let me know if the above points are
(a)a part of the standard PHPLD
(b)can be customized(through third party extensions and scripts)
(c)Can be custom programmed with ease.
(d)Or do not have any support at all

Thanks.

1. Yes (we call it Featured)
2. We have the standard "link detail" page, but what you describe sounds like some custom work.
3. As for #2
4. We do have a mailing list mod that works pretty good. It is not in the release, but could be added to your site in 1-2 hours or work. It sends to registered users.
5. Again, this is a custom solution, but yes, definitely possible.

So it sounds like you have some specific ideas that you want to accomplish. I'm sure we can help. We have what is known as the "jobs area" where you can have access to our dev team, who help customers like you every week. If you are interested in taking this to the next step, you are welcome to submit a request here (http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/jobs/).

Thanks,
David

Thanks david.
I have clicked on the jobs link
Will see how it can help me.
As far as our replies go it looks as though PHPLD is the right direction to go. :-)

I have not yet purchased PHPLD.
Could someone please give me a brief description of the "jobs" link
Is it where I can get quote??
Right now I have not purchased PHPLD.
I would like to know what is the cost of the customization and then only go ahead with the purchase.
Please guide me on how to go about it thank you.
